The Border Project will be exhibiting at the Tohono O'odham Cultural Center & Museum, May 12th through June, July, on up to Aug29th of 2008.

Opening Reception and The Museum's 1 year anniversary is Saturday June 14th, 10am to 4pm.

We hope to have a Student Artist Celebration & Closing Reception on Fri Aug. 22nd. At this event we'll have all the students there, from the 3 schools, who participated in The Border Project. This is no small feat concerning the Sonata, Mexico kids, with the current border climate rules and regulations. The cost to us is $100 per student. Between Fences


A traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution showing in six sites in Arizona, one of which was the town of Ajo. It tells American stories through diverse fence types and in doing so, examines human relationships on an expanding scale. www.museumonmainstreet.org

Borders, Fences, and Gates

A complimentary show to Between Fences, hosted by the International Sonoran Desert Alliance.  Work of local artists in all mediums that explores issues of space, physical boundaries, historical references, or societal representation of physical and cultural borders.
